Occationally we provide updates which includes new features and bugfixes. Updating WordPress theme is standard WordPress functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before Updating Theme<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

** Before updating please make sure to keep a backup of your installed theme and plugins (eg. bentol <\/em><\/strong>Toolkit) to be on safe side.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can use this plugin to keep the backup: https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/wp-theme-plugin-download\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are few ways to update WordPress theme. You can follow any of the methods described below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Method 1: Automatic Update by Using Envato Market Plugin<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Install and activate the \u201cEnvato Market\u201d plugin manually. Here\u2019s the plugin zip file:\u00a0http:\/\/envato.github.io\/wp-envato-market\/dist\/envato-market.zip<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. From WordPress Admin Panel, navigate to\u00a0\u201cEnvato Market\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. In this page, you\u2019ll find a field for inserting Envato Token. Insert your Envato Token Code from there. You can generate this code from this link:\u00a0https:\/\/build.envato.com\/create-token\/?purchase:download=t&purchase:verify=t&purchase:list=t<\/a>.
    Remember, while generating the token, you have to login using the same envato id which you used to purchase theme.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. After completed the above steps successfully, Navigate to\u00a0Appearance -> Themes<\/strong>. Here you\u2019ll see an \u201cUpdate now\u201d link beside your theme. Click on that link and your theme will be updated automatically.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Method 2: By Uploading zip File<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. From WordPress Admin Panel, Navigate to\u00a0Appearance -> Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Activate any other theme (eg. Twenty Seventeen) than the current one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Delete\u00a0bentol <\/em><\/strong>Theme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Now you have to upload the updated theme zip file. To do this, Navigate to\u00a0Appearance -> Themes -> Add New -> Upload<\/strong>. Go to browse, and select the zipped theme folder. Hit \u201cInstall Now\u201d and the theme will be uploaded and installed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Method 3: By FTP<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      1. Using your FTP client, navigate to \u201c\/wp-content\/themes\/\u201d folder on your server and delete the \u201cbentol\u201d folder from there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Now upload the latest non-zipped theme folder into that \u201c\/wp-content\/themes\/\u201d folder .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        After Updating Theme<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        ** After updating the theme please update all plugins which come with the theme.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
